WHAT IS CRYSTAL HEALING?

Crystal healing is non-invasive and works alongside other treatments or as a stand alone therapy.  It is a type of alternative therapy that involves using gemstones to bring balance into our lives.  The aim of crystal healing is to treat the whole person including the individual's subtle energy field.  Crystals have a stable and unchanging energy pattern, each with a unique frequency or resonance, that provides them with special properties.  As a result crystals act like tuning forks helping bring harmony to the very unstable energy field of the human body.

ROSE QUARTZ ♡

Rose Quartz is the stone of unconditional love and infinite peace.  It is the most important crystal for the heart, teaching us the true essence of love.  Rose Quartz purifies and opens the heart at all levels bringing deep inner healing and self love.  It is calming and reassuring therefore the perfect crystal to use in trauma or a crisis.  Rose Quartz is amazingly effective at drawing love and relationships towards you and in existing relationships it will help restore trust and harmony encouraging unconditional love.  It strengthens empathy and sensitivity and aids the acceptance of necessary change, which makes it an excellent stone for mid life crisis.  Emotionally Rose Quartz is the finest healer, if you have never received love it opens your heart allowing you to become receptive to it or if you have loved and lost it comforts your grief.  Rose Quartz teaches you how to love yourself, which is vital if you believe yourself to be unlovable, as you cannot accept love from others nor love them unless you love yourself.  Rose Quartz encourages self forgiveness and acceptance invoking self trust and self worth.

WHAT IS A KNOTTED NECKLACE?

Our Serendipity knotted necklaces have all been produced using the same technique we use to create our beautiful Mala.  Mala is a Sanskrit word meaning garland and is the term for a string of beads used in spirituality for thousands of years. Yogis and Buddhists were the first to use mala to enhance their spiritual practices using them to keep count of mantra repetitions or japa during meditation.

HOW MANY BEADS ARE THERE AND WHY?

As with our hand made Mala our knotted necklaces are created using one hundred and eight six millimetre beads and one single  eight millimetre bead.  This means our knotted necklaces can be used to enhance the practice of japa meditation, also known as mantra meditation, by keeping count of the number of times a mantra is chanted.

WHY ARE THERE KNOTS BETWEEN EACH BEAD?

Each knot signifies the challenges we meet in life and serves as a reminder that all aspects of life are inter-connected.  The knots also stop beads from rubbing together and if the necklace ever breaks the whole strand of beads will not be lost.

WHY IS THERE ONE EIGHT MILLIMETRE BEAD?

In this case the eight millimetre bead is the heart of the necklace as it marks both the beginning and the end of the necklace when used to keep count of mantra repetitions or japa during meditation.
